OK, Y'all, I live in the desert. The humidity this week has been 5%.
I am so dry that my lips are about to fall off. So my question is:
What is your favorite lip balm?

Medicated Blistex! It's in a blue-green tube, about $.97 each at any discount store. That stuff works wonders for me- it's not waxy like Chapstick. In the winter here in Ohio, I have a tube in every coat pocket, purse, etc.
My sisters also swear by Soft Lips. I've tried it, and it was good, too, but I like my Blistex better.
First, I love the design of your blog - very pretty!
I love and use anything by Burt's Bees daily. They have a variety - even have "colored" ones that give the appearance of lip gloss but comfort like chapstick. I pick mine up at Target, they also have a site you can order directly from.
BURT'S BEES!!! Hands down. Not sure of the actual variety, but Burt's Bees in the chapstick like tube.
So were the Magnolia cupcakes really worth making from scratch? Or just tasty, but I'm not missing out on something by taking the lazy Duncan Hines route.
I like burts bees but it is usually too expensive for me. I am using the Blistex - Medicated Berry right now and I am very happy with the product and the price.
CARMEX!!! It does it all.
Definitely Burt's Bees...especially the pomegranate replenishing one!
I second the vote for Burts Bees. It is the one least likely to make my lips peel even worse.
Burts Bees for sure!
Softlips is my favorite - I buy a ton of them and have them everywhere - purse, car, house...
I like it because it's not too thick and heavy
Been using BonnieBell for at least 40 years, and I still love it. yummy flavors!
I'm a lip balm addict, and I'll use anything I can get my hands on if my lips are dry! :) But I love Burts Bees, Carmex, or Blistex in the canister. I'm also using a fabulous Cranberry lip balm from The Body Shop right now that has a little tint and shimmer to it.
I love Savanna Bee Company's Mint Julip. You can get it at Bath and Body Works. However I think they may have discontinued it, so I suppose this does not help at all.
At night, I use Aquafor on my lips. It really helps.
Mary Kay Satin Lips Lip Balm is my favorite. Not waxy or heavy. Feels heavenly to dry lips. Call me, I'll send you some :) K2
Carmex! Tube during day, jar at night.
Avon Moisture Therapy ROCKS! I have food allergy issues that cause my lips to swell, and it's very painful for several days at a time. This is the most soothing lip balm that I have found. I always have tubes of it in my pocket, purse, car, and beside the bed at all times. If you know an Avon representative, you can order it from them on sale for 79 cents a tube. It's the best and lasts for a long time!
I go for good old fashioned Chapstick - regular, thank you very much! :)
BTW, where did you find the beautiful background for your blog?
Daiquiri
Rosebud Lip Slave. Comes in a flat pot. The best.
June,
A lip slave? I am going out to buy that right now!!!
I live in the desert, too, and dry lips can be a problem!! Since using Burt's Bees my lips have not been chapped. I love it. I also sometimes put unrefined coconut oil on my lips.
CARMEX!!!!
I'm putting vaseline on my lips at night because of the cold going on and breathing thru my mouth at night is making the inside of my mouth like a sand pit. Gotta get me a humidifier.
As to your original question... Burt's Bees is nice, but I like Chapstick, too. Will have to try the Avon Moisture Therapy... the price seems right. Guess I'm just not a loyal lip balm gal....
x
Blistex! My husband thinks I am addicted. It is quite possible, but if that is the least of my issues I am ok I think. (:
I have used the medicated Chapstick since the beginning of time, or whenever they started making it. I normally use it only at night..but when in those terribly dry climates I put it in my purse for emergency use.
I also really like the Mary Kay Satin Lips (especially the lip mask!!) --- oooh goodness that is a treat.
Kristin
Okay, I'm seconding all the Burt's Bees votes. The Mary Kay lip balm is also good, but it comes in a tub like carmex. I like that Burt's Bees is in a tube. Easier that way.
