I'm a wife, mom and blogger;
Coffee drinker, baker, and jogger.
I don't swim in the sea.
Or make potpourri
I like pizza with a good lager.
I'm a c-sections survivor.
The mother, the gardner, the driver;
A maid, and a groomer,
(Have I said coffee consumer?)
I'm not the best, but I try-ver.
I'm the homeschool professor.
And, my desk is a mess-er.
A guitar player who cooks.
A reader of books,
I'm early to rise I confess-er.
From laundry is my constant flee.
My van is chock full of debris.
I mow the lawn,
Walk our dogs in the dawn-
Only after two-cups of coffee.
Like you, I do many things.
But its Christ who gives me the wings,
To press on when life's hard,
Knowing He will stand guard.
His love is what makes my heart sing.
Among titles, no more am I "slave":
For Christ overcame that dark grave,
In Him I am free,
To be who He's called me to be.
And that's the short story of me.

So amazing. I read her book "Mitten Strings For God" over 5 years ago, and loved it. This was precious, too. Thanks, sweet friend, for being part of my very ordinary days.
This is, but just a chapter and I don't want to skim through it in a hurry!
Thanks for the tissue warning.
:)
I can relate so much to her reading...I just got back from ordering my daughter's graduation pictures and thinking about when she started school and all the memories of years past. Thanks for sharing this with me! I am so thankful for the "ordinary" days!
sooo great! Thanks for sharing this! I hope you enjoyed your "ordinary" day.. whew mine was far from it! Got to see my new niece Ellie.. through the nursery glass.. said tons of prayers for her and my sister and the doctors.. but I hope to have and cherish an ordinary day soon! :-)
I have seen this. Especially meaningful if your youngest is 5 months away from leaving for college, as is mine. Ugh
Trying to find the joy in the ordinary days I've got left. :)
