Can't stop to blog for too long right now. We're taking a five minute snack break, so I wanted to give you a glimpse at what The La Vida Gals are up to today. I couldn't be more proud.

How I Know She Really Is My Child
The Girl has had a craft project in her head for over a month that we are finally trying to get made today.
Why am I proud?
Because today my Girl is wielding a crafters weapon for the first time: The Hot Glue Gun.
She saw one of these Christmas/apple/topiary things in a magazine and has wanted to make it for so long.
She's having fun, but not as much as I am watching her.
Sweet Girl,
May this day be the first in many happy, creative days for you.
Love,
Mom

Sooooo cute!! Way to go!
she is precious!!! I love crafting. I love girls. I love girls who love to craft. ;)
She looks so grown up since the last pic you posted...especially with that too cute ponytail!!!
That project looks great already!!
Awwww! So sweet and what a beautiful topiary it is!
Is this like a rite of passage, or what? Today she becomes a woman! :)
It's so funny to read this because I was just thinking about something similar tonight. My oldest is 6 (not old enough for the hot glue gun yet!) and I found myself wondering what craft projects she'd want to do when she was older. Such a random thought. Although, after reading your post, it doesn't seem so random anymore.
How great that she is following in your crafty footsteps!
It looks like she inherited your crafty genes!
I can feel your pride. Someday ... I'm still in the stage where my daughter's creative endeavors cause me more stress than joy, but I can see the day coming. It's not too far along the horizon.
