Weekend Fun

I normally don't post on weekends, but I found this link at Bye Bye Pie and ended up playing.

Here are a few pics of LVCG at the museum....

And the airport....

Or the theater...

And here is my excuse for not posting much this week

This (14 in. x 16 in.) embroidery took me a full day. An entire 8.5 hours. But I think it turned out pretty good.

Next I will do the grooms English and Hebrew names and blessing. Then I will monogram the wedding dates and names of both sets of parents, and somewhere the date of the bride and grooms wedding. Then I'll piece everything together and move on to the next project which is:
...to make a cake that matches the one on the bridal shower invitation....

pictures to come!

I wish I lived closer and I could just sit and watch you work. My job could be to keep your coffee cup full.

When I was looking at that amazing picture and thinking about how in the world you were going to make that cake, Proverbs 31 popped into my head.

I am certain that you husband and children call you blessed and praise you and I consider myself truly blessed to call you friend.

Is that hand or machine embroidery? Either way, it is beautiful and so thoughtful of you!

Amazing work, my friend. Thank you for sharing all that goes into making the chuppah and for giving us a peek at that wonderful embroidery. Mad skilz, my friend. Bested only by the incredible heart behind them. While Whimzie kept your coffee cup full, I could keep hers full and we could chat and watch you sew.

It looks amazing, Kellie! I'm glad I got to come over and see the "before" and now the "after" of this part!

You have so much talent, I am in awe! I don't do anything remotely like that and I think it's amazing that God gifted you that way. If Whimzie keeps your coffee cup full, I'd like to be the one to keep your snack plate full, because I'm sure you get hungry working so hard.

Are you KIDDING me, Kellie? You are all kinds of amazing!!! I knew you were super creative in all areas, but I had no idea you could do this kind of work. Love it! Is there some kind of pattern you follow, or do you just do it all freehand?
