This blog is far from being a lesson in horticulture, but there isn't anything that makes me more happy and thankful than going out side on a spring Saturday morning, with a good cup of coffee, for a walk around my yard.
This morning at 7am the birds woke me up and I could smell my coffee all the way upstairs. I sleepily poured the java and looked out my kitchen window to see that my iris's had all opened up! They are almost 3.5 feet tall with the most beautiful fragrance...it is just amazing to me.
The white zinnia's are also opening and the baby pink ones are on the way.
And, of course, with the good comes the bad...
...poison ivy...growing within 30 feet from our house...
