Island Adventure

I'm about to set out on a beach-camping trip (as in sleeping-in-tent camping) with the Girl Scouts.

It's raining as I type.

It's supposed to rain on and off for the next 48 hours.

I'm not worried about that though.

What I was worried about was how I was going to get my coffee fix in the mornings.

As luck would have it, I am not the only one who needs a java jolt to function each day, and rumor is that we will have electricity at our camp site.

So I'm bringing my Keurig.

Yup, I am.

I mentioned to another mom that I could bring it and her eyes lit up like a Christmas morning. I don't know her too well yet, but I am pretty sure we're gonna get along. You know what Girl Scouts and coffee have in common? They both are a catalyst to "make new friends!"

So when you see on the news that the coast is full of stormy weather, don't fret. We've coffee! We'll be OK!

It's all about survival my friends.

If you were going camping on an island with 10 preteen girls, what would you take to survive?

Have fun camping!! Totally cracking up that your taking the Keurig! We had to make a fire and get it hot enough for the coffee percolator to work! Talking about taking forever!!

I too am always worried about the coffee when we go somewhere!
I love how 10 pre-teens, and survival are in the same sentence!

Camping isn't camping without your coffee maker that requires a plug. We bring ours every year.

Have fun!

1. Diet Coke
2. Diet Coke
3. More Diet Coke
4. Leaving behind the winers who complain about my snoring!

Oh, I hope its not raining right now! Hoping you're staying warm and dry! I just might bring my keurig too. I'd definitely have to bring some kind of a blow up air mattress 'cause me and the hard ground do not go together. Can't wait to hear about your big adventure!
