Carnival: If You Came to My House Today

***Updated!!!! For some reason the Mr Linky link is requiring that you click on it to add your link, or see the links of those already posted. Be sure to click the Mr. Linky page to go Visit Others at Their House Today!***

Step right up!

For three tickets, or the price of linking your blog up in Mr. Linky (below), you can join this carnival!

If you don't have a blog, then just look around, and enjoy the ride!

I will leave this carnival open all weekend. But then I'm packing it up and we're movin' on into the next week of blogging.

***if you are unsure as to what a carnival is, or what this carnival is about, click here.***

With out further adieu:

If You Came To My House Today...

If you came to my house today. Yes!
You'd see that I've much here to say, But
The talk is diversion,
For those with aversion,
from the dog hair that lies yonder way.

(And those are also framed pictures that I have yet to hang up since we moved back....its only been a year. See...that fur ball almost blends in with the hardwood.)

If you came to my house today...
You'd see that the sky is quite gray,
Inside we'd be warm
From that cold, wet storm.
Sipping coffee, or tea, hooray!

If you came to my house today...
You'd see my desk's great dismay.
This cre-a-tive mind,
Is messy you'll find,
For she crafts as if at a buffet.

If you came to my house today...
You'd see this brown couch right away.
We'd sit and we'd chat.
I excel at that!
We'd be happy with our small soiree.

If you came to my house today...
You'd not see perfection. No way!
There's dirt, socks, and dust.
Wash pile is robust...
But I'd choose friendship o'er work anyday!

LOL! I love this. Wish I'd known you were doing this. I would so play along. But I'm swamped! Son's birthday is tomorrow; we're celebrating tonight. I have to shop and make his birthday dinner and cake, after I meet a bloggy friend for the first time this morning. Then tomorrow we have a family photo shoot (still not sure what we're wearing!!) and then on Sunday morning we go to Disney (not packed. at all.) ACK!!!! But what a fun idea for a carnival!

Your house looks very inviting :)

Can I tell you how comforting it is to know that you have messes and piles?

Love it! You are so clever. I love the heart of your message. You always make people feel so welcome in your home, but you keep it real by letting us see the 'not so perfect' parts, too. What a joy I often miss out on because I'm too worried about what someone might think of me if they see my mess!

How fun and good job on the poem by the way:) Your home looks so wonderfully lived in! And now my mouth is watering for a cup of tea. Will you do this again? I'd love to join but I don't know if I'll have the time today. Oh we've got the whole weekend you say...well okay then I'll try this:)

Amber's blog link made me so curious I just had to sneek a peek myself. Excellent use of one of my favorite mediums - poetry. Good insight and descriptions.

Your house looks very very cozy, Kellie.

I'm going to play later today. Hopefully.

You just reminded me to get out my linen you made me for the season! And yes, knowing you have dog fur makes me feel less bad about the enough-fur-to-build-my-own-Great-Dane I got going over here.

Great carnival idea! I'll try to get my act together before the weekend's up.

I want your craft room, btw.

Love your poetry... so creative!
Also, the last picture of the table in the foreground and the fireplace in the back... peaceful, warm, inviting -- luscious!

I love the Carnival idea!

I have several piles of frames just like yours sitting around my house. Waiting for photos, waiting for a place on the wall. I wonder how long they'll keep waiting?

Am I supposed to answer the question too?
If you came to my house today, you'd find a mommy still in her pj's who is taking way too long to recover from surgery this week! Also, there's 2 cutie pies packing up shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, to be turned in tomorrow.
What exciting (& very blessed) lives we lead! :)

I wasn't poetic, but I tried to add my link... not sure how to do it, though I followed the instructions. Now I'm wondering WHERE it went~

I just read through all the blogs & I love the way you had such sweet things to say to each one, making it personal. I've loved getting to know you!

I LOVE this carnival. I wanted to do it, but never found the time this weekend. That's pretty sad, but it was another birthday weekend around here. Next time!

I wish I could watch you be all crafty! I'm really, really impressed by it.
