Illegal Blogging

As I type this, The Mister is using a large sander to sand down the cabinets in prep for primer and paint...

Since its really loud he can't hear me sneaking a little typing break.

Since I don't have time to type (and spellcheck and re-type...I'm not a fast typer) i will just do a pictorial.

PS: It is a beautiful day in this neighborhood. Can I tell you how happy I am to be living in North Carolina? It's just gorgeous! The flower shots were all taken this morning around 8:ooam. And that wasn't even all of them....our neighbors front yard has all sort of colored Iris' (is that what they are?): Yellow, pink, orange...just beautiful!

This is me, doing what I should be doing right now.

OK...gotta go.

You didn't see me.

Never saw a thing...except. Woo hoo! Beautiful. It's so fun to see your kitchen taking shape the way you want it to.

Beautiful flowers. The bearded iris is perhaps one of the prettiest flowers ever.

Man, that's a project. And what did you do with all your cabinet stuff when you took the doors off?

Look at you, all buff and painting....

Your irises are lovely! I can see why you love living in NC - it looks so beautiful.

What a project - your kitchen is going to be fabulous when you're done.

Looking forward to seeing your finished kitchen :)

I am looking forward to seeing MY finished kitchen too - the main stuff is done - but I am very impatient!

What a hoot...can't wait to see how the kitchen turns out. But, as I have to remind my own self when in the midst of a huge project, things don't paint themselves. I'm a dreamer and enjoy the dream stage much more that the "doing" stage. But the "finished stage" makes it all worthwhile.

These flowers are gorgeous! I love the South too, girl! You're kitchen is going to look amazing. I can't wait to see the finished product. In our new house we have actually taken the stained oak cabinets, sanded, primed, and going through the process of putting 2 or 3 coats on of Navajo white (i had no stinkin' idea there are so many whites out there . . . we were going for a creamy sort-of look). Jon was going to antique them, but then after some playing around we've decided to distress them.

Are you guys just painting them or will be you be adding something else to them?

I can't wait, wait, wait to see the finished product.

I didn't see you . . .Keep working hard *wink* *wink*

P.S. I agree with Tiff, you look so cute with your halter on . . . Me? When I paint? I look like Raggedy Ann.
