Good Help Is Hard To Find

I'm unplugging today.

But its not my fault.

You see, I suddenly realized that there is no toilet paper in the house (again) and it occurred to me that my Personal Shopper has not been good about keeping our shelves stocked. I am going to have to have a talk with her.

Not only that, but the Chef has not made a single edible meal this week, and the Housekeeper is MIA. Honestly, I think it just so rude. I mean, she hasn't even called.

The Driver has let the gas tank get three-quarters empty and I am afraid the gas light indicator may start to blink at me very soon.

My Personal Trainer hasn't been motivating me like I need to be motivated. It really isn't fair. I wish watching those aerobics shows on cable would count for something.

The Tutor has been doing a decent job with the children, but yesterday while I was preparing for a light lunch with Charity, (we ate in the Conservatory and then we sipped coffee in the sitting room), she called for a "Reading Day". I am definitely going to talk with her on this. For heavens sake, we are talking about the education of my children!

The Gardner told me that the leaves in yard would be taken care of, as well as the grass seed for the coming spring. But she has refused to schedule a specific date or time. She just keeps telling me that it's a busy time of year.

Certainly her time isn't any more precious than mine!

To top it all off, the Dog Trainer was a no-show yesterday and the puppy had several accidents on the carpet. I should have just hired Cesar like I had wanted to in the first place, but no, I second guessed myself and look at where it's got me.

Oh y'all! I just can't get over it...with the staff all missing, I will have to do all this work MYSELF.

So that is why I must unplug today. Isn't it just awful?

Good help is so hard to find.

Clearly they need a stern talking to. Pull out the big guns. Seriously. You don't pay them the big bucks for nothing. Go get 'em.

I think my staff ran off with your staff! You are absolutely hilarious the way you wrote this :) So glad we found each other in PA though we live right down the street from each other (giggle).

Time for an overhaul in staffing, girl. I mean, really, don't they know you have needs? Obligations to attend??? Good grief!

I should probably unplug too and my kids are actually going to my Mom's so it would be a great day to get things done QUICKLY and w/o interruption for trivial things like: lunch, beverages, or help w/ the potty..I mean c'mon...

We'll raise our china tea cups to a REALLY productive day, okay?! check in later--accountability is key! ;)

Does your staff not realize the current state of the economy? You'd think they would be a little more concerned with their jobs.

LOL! Hope your day is super productive.

Don't you wish you had all that staff? Boy I do! Don't stay unplugged for long!!

What a coincidence! It must be a holiday of some sort...some of my staff didn't show up for work today either. You know what they say! If you want something done {right}, you have to do it yourself!

Oh, then "Maria" works for you, too? She's worth about what we pay her...

I tell my husband the same things often; it really is hard to find good help!

Great post!

When you see that frazzlin' maid let her know I'm looking for her too. Sheesh. With the economy as bad as it is those folks should just be happy they have a job and they should do it.

BTW - based on your "about me" section I think you and I could be really good friends (with the exception of the hunting thing).

And, while I'm on a roll, I love your twitter thing. That is really cute.

You are so very funny! If you find any good help, please send them my way. I think my staff has deserted me just like yours has you! Hope they all return soon.

Glad you can't see my house right now!

I think when they do come back to work you should give them all a pay rise to encourage them to never do that again!

My kids love Cesar - we get it here in N Ireland too.
